JULIAN AGYEMAN
What I am working on at the moment?
I am Professor of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, USA, and an expert on urban sustainability especially as regards justice and equity.
My most recent book, Sharing Cities: A Case for Truly Smart and Sustainable Cities (co-authored with Duncan McLaren) was one of Nature’s Top 20 Books of 2015. At present I'm finishing up a book on the new urban phenomenon of Food Trucks in North America.
Why I wanted to join the Participatory City Global Advisory?
I was interested in being on the Advisory Board of Participatory City because of the concept’s closeness to my concept of the Sharing City! One could not happen without the other!
